Organizations benefit when their speakers succeed in getting the message across

Organizations frequently use employees or outside authorities to speak about the benefits of their product or to address a topical issue.

Pharmaceutical companies, in particular, have developed marketing techniques that are effectively driven by thought leaders who report on a product from the stages of its initial testing through the final phase of gaining government approval. These speaker bureau participants disseminate research findings, first within the scientific/medical community, and later to community groups at the regional and national levels.

For most companies, however, using untrained speakers frequently leads to disappointing results. An organization garners benefits from a speakers bureau only when its speakers succeed in getting the message across. To do this speakers must:
understand their audience;
talk in easily understood language, rather than complex jargon;
deliver their message so that the audience understands; and
end before the audience's attention drifts.

Each year, The Newman Group works with hundreds of doctors and scientists in groups ranging from fewer than a dozen to several hundred participants. We empower these spokespeople to communicate effectively and efficiently with various types of audiences. This provides real economic benefits to our clients.

We have developed techniques that give each speaker a thorough understanding of the needs and essentials of a successful presentation. In a few hours, participants build confidence and enthusiasm while gaining insights into ways to improve their presentations. In addition, we can evaluate each participant for the organization's future speaker bureau needs.
